Dr. Rome’s research interests include eating disorders and obesity, reproductive health, and preventive care and wellness. She has been an invited speaker locally, nationally, and internationally on various topics in adolescent medicine. She has written and published on various adolescent medicine topics, including eating disorders and obesity, the female athlete triad, recovery and the young tennis athlete, nutrition for the teen athlete, teen pregnancy, and adolescent sexuality.
Dr. Rome is a member of numerous professional organizations and has served in leadership roles for the American Academy of Pediatrics the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG), and the Federation Internationale Gynecologie Infantile et Juvenile (FIGIJ).
