Dr. Perman’s clinical interests include epidermolysis bullosa, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), atopic dermatitis, infantile hemangiomas and vascular anamolies. Her current research interests focus mainly on epidermolysis bullosa.

Dr. Perman is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (Section of Dermatology), the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Foundation for Ichthyosis and Related Skin Types and the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance. She has received numerous teaching awards and holds editorial positions for several academic publications.
