Three decades of pediatric CME

We’ve been doing this for over 30 years and are still going strong. Our first annual Hawaii pediatric conference was in February 1991 - Pediatric Potpourri®: State of the Art at the Westin Maui. We added our annual fall meeting in 1992 – Aloha Update: Pediatrics® - and our annual summer meeting in 1999 – Pediatrics in the Islands … Clinical Pearls.

Our meetings provide a practical, clinically relevant review of current issues and recent advances in selected pediatric topics and are designed for pediatricians, family practitioners, and other health care professionals who care for infants, children and adolescents.

Course sessions end at mid-day, leaving afternoons and evenings free for leisure activities.

Looking forward to seeing you in paradise!

Testimonials

One of the best, most useful conferences I have attended! Love the short, concise lectures given by knowledgeable & dynamic speakers.
Marvelous meeting! Great speakers, pertinent talks and a gorgeous setting.
Excellent conference! I believe it’s the best CME I’ve attended (and I’ve attended many good meetings).
Great conference all around. The talks are relevant, interesting, and stay on time.
Awesome set up; course was super informative and great pace with the speakers!
Will influence my diagnosis and assessment abilities, my referral activity, and my education and treatment of patients.
Excellent! Very relevant and applicable to my practice. Learned a lot of “pearls” to take back with me.
All talks were top notch and just fantastic. Thanks to all for putting together this wonderful course for all of us taking care of children.

About Me

I’m Laura,

I love my job. I get to work with wonderful doctors who are passionate about providing superb care for children … plus, my work brings me to Hawaii three times a year.

The conference-related emails and other communication you receive will be from me and I’m the onsite coordinator in Hawaii. If you don’t see me at the conference desk, I’m probably in the back of the meeting room listening in on the talks. After more than 20 years of organizing these meetings, I still find the talks interesting (even if I don’t understand all the science).

I enjoy meeting our conference participants who come from all over the US as well as a number of other countries. I often recognize the faces and the names of repeat attendees, but I’m not always as good at putting together names and faces. So, I’m likely to need a reminder of your name even if I recognize your face.

When I’m not in Hawaii, I live on Lopez Island in Washington. I relocated from Los Angeles in 2007 and work remotely. Even when I was in Los Angeles, we did most of our conference planning and organizing by phone, email, fax and online so it was easy to transition from Los Angeles to Lopez Island.

Did I mention, I love my job?

We can't wait to see you.
